Reception Teacher
We are seeking an exceptional Reception teacher, ideally with experience in the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme, to join our dynamic and supportive team. An opportunity has become available for a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher with experience in teaching Reception, a passion for children and learning to join our team at Golden Grove Lutheran Primary School – one of Adelaide’s leading independent schools. The position is a contract role for Terms 2 – 4, 2025.
The successful applicant will:
- Demonstrate an active understanding of the IB PYP
- Have relevant teaching experience, ideally with Reception and Junior Primary, and tertiary qualifications
- Be supportive of the Christian ethos of the School
- Possess a passion for education, children, learning, relationships and teamwork
- Possess a thorough knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and the capacity to write, deliver and evaluate differentiated teaching and learning programs
- Be confident integrating various forms of ICT in a resource rich learning environment
- Have the capacity to communicate co-operatively and proactively with students, staff and parents
- Have a commitment to student wellbeing and an understanding of the social and emotional needs of children
- Show a commitment to continued professional learning
- Describe instances in which their organisational skills have proven to be critical
- Demonstrate ongoing initiative and collaboration
- Show initiative, flexibility and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
The successful applicant will also be expected to either hold, or have the capacity to gain, a valid working with children check and teacher registration in South Australia.
