Pembroke School is a co-educational, non-denominational, day and boarding School from Early Learning Centre to Year 12. Pembroke School offers the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) and is also an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, offering the IB Diploma and the Primary Years Programme (PYP).

We are seeking a passionate and engaging teacher of History for Terms 1 to 4, 2021. The successful candidate will be working with Year 7-11 students on the Middle and Senior School campuses. An ability to teach Legal Studies would be an advantage, but is not required.

The successful applicant will be a specialist in the teaching of History with a genuine passion for the subject. They will have broad and deep knowledge of the topics taught within the Australian Curriculum, Years 7 to 10 and SACE Modern History. Most importantly, the successful candidate will be an excellent teacher with the ability to employ a range of teaching methodologies to engage students and produce positive student outcomes.

History is well supported at Pembroke. Students take part in a range of competitions, specialist days and in-school performances that augment classroom teaching. The faculty is highly supportive and collaborative, with specialist teachers who work together to promote excellence in the teaching and learning of History.
