Concordia College, a co-educational school, is situated in Highgate, an established eastern suburb of the city of Adelaide, South Australia. Set in a safe and attractive environment, away from main roads, the College is five minutes’ drive from the city’s Central Business District.

On 1 January 2016, St John’s Lutheran School and Concordia College amalgamated and is named Concordia College. ELC-Year 6 component is identified as St John’s Campus, and Year 7-12 is identified as Concordia Campus. Current enrolment is approximately 410 students from ELC - 6 and 890 students from Years 7 – 12.

Concordia College is a strong contributor and member of the Lutheran Schools Association in SA/NT/WA. The College strongly supports its involvement with the Association of Independent Schools in SA.

The College offers the IB PYP, MYP and DP, the Australian Curriculum, SACE and VET. All students have a College laptop and the continuing exploration of new ways to use digital technologies in support of student learning is an important component of the Strategic Plan of Concordia College.

The position of IB Diploma Coordinator is a curriculum focused position with significant responsibility for supporting teachers, students and parents involved in the IB Diploma Programme. A key responsibility will be to maintain and build student numbers to ensure the sustainability of the Programme.

Experience in and knowledge of the IB Diploma Programme will be essential in this role.

Release time to fulfil the requirements of the role will be approximately 0.3 FTE. The position will have Home Class responsibilities and Yard Duty and relief lessons associated with it. Remuneration will be based on Band 1 plus 6 leadership points.
