Math/ Science Teacher

International School of Western Australia is an independent, non-denominational, co-educational independent school for local and International students from Kindergarten to Year 12, running on a northern hemisphere calendar.

Our school embraces international mindedness, with students and families from approximately 40 nationalities forming the school community. We have recently relocated to our brand-new Doubleview campus.

Due to enrolment growth and our commitment to smaller class sizes we now have an opportunity for a part-time (0.9FTE) Math/Science Teacher to join our Team.

Our Teachers enable and support students as they develop the approaches to learning they need, for both academic and personal success, through the International Baccalaureate programs.

We are looking for a staff member who possesses:

• A record of innovative practice and suitable Tertiary Qualifications
• A strong desire and proven ability to work in teams in and out of the classroom
• An outstanding record in building relationships and community with students, parents and staff
• Experience in delivering concept-based curriculum through inquiry learning
• A passion for and commitment to international education

Experience working in international schools and/or delivering the International Baccalaureate’s Middle Years Programme (MYP) would be highly desirable, but not essential.

The commencement date for the position is 21^st January 2021 (Semester 2 for International School of Western Australia).
