MLC School is looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Director of eLearning to develop a strategy for the continued development and implementation of digital technologies to ensure MLC School remains at the forefront of digital pedagogy. They will seek out new applications and opportunities and work in consultation with curriculum teams from Pre-K-12 to integrate these in teaching and learning programs. The Director of eLearning will be leading the next phase of implementation of CANVAS and as such will have experience in the delivery of professional learning to staff.

About the position

The Director of eLearning is integral to the development and implementation of MLC School’s eLearning Strategy within the School’s Strategic Plan and has the primary responsibility for leading the uptake and integration of digital technologies across all stages, Pre-K – 12. The Director of eLearning champions the adoption of digital pedagogies (both current and future) amongst staff and sets the standard for best practice in student digital literacy. This Director of eLearning is responsible for the development and implementation of cyber safety programs that are age and stage appropriate and this involves working with students, staff and the broader School community.

This position maintains a teaching role and demonstrates at all times and in all ways a passion for teaching and learning as well as for differentiated instruction that caters for the individual needs of all students.

You will be able to demonstrate your ability and commitment to:

  • lead the development and implementation of a whole school e-Learning Strategy;
  • lead teaching staff across the School to incorporate the appropriate use of ICT and related technologies into their teaching practice to enhance student learning in the classroom;
  • on-going Professional Learning for yourself as well as enhancing the skills of staff to achieve the e-Learning goals set out in the School’s e-Learning Strategy;
  • engaging students through the planning and delivery of high impact learning experiences.
