Responsible to the Leader of Learning, this Secondary Teaching position aims to engage and motivate all students in the concepts of English language. Applicants must be able to demonstrate excellence in their teaching, together with high level skills in the use of technology in the teaching, and learning process.
The subject is concerned with the use of language in writing, reading, speaking, listening and visual literacy while building a love of language. Through listening and reading, students build on their knowledge and absorb new information. Through literature, they come to a better understanding of themselves and the world around them.
All teaching staff employed at Carey Baptist Grammar School must hold a valid Victorian Institute Teaching (VIT) registration as a requirement of employment.
