The Role

The School is looking for a passionate and professional Science teacher. This is a full time position but a part time load may be considered for the right applicant. The ability to teach Year 11 and 12 Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Earth Science is preferred.

Knowledge of the Science Australian Curriculum, BSSS and International Baccalaureate would be highly regarded. The Science Faculty share a passion for excellence in teaching and have a record of fostering outstanding student achievement. Collaboration and a commitment to professional learning are highly valued.

Appropriate academic qualifications and teacher training, as well as a sound understanding of current educational trends and learning styles are required.

All teaching staff members are expected to take part in the whole life of the School including participation in pastoral care and involvement in co-curricular School activities.

Eligibility for registration with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute which includes a Working with Vulnerable People check are conditions of employment. A current first aid certificate is desirable.
