Catering for over 1,000 students from Reception to Year 12, Pedare is an independent, co-educational Anglican and Uniting Church day school in Golden Grove. It was established in 1986 to provide a Christian and liberal education to its students. Pedare’s vision is to foster partnerships with families to enable students to excel in their learning, be globally focused, have a strong sense of self-worth and make a difference in the community.  We offer the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) and are also an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, offering the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the Primary Years Programme (PYP).

Applicants are sought for a Deputy Principal - Teaching and Learning, commencing Term 1, 2022.

The College is seeking a highly qualified and a dynamic educational leader, with the ability to provide inspirational leadership, vision and direction for teaching and learning.  The position will report to the Principal and will be a member of the College Executive Team. The successful candidate will lead the academic program and the application of best practice in pedagogy that maximises the academic performance of all students. The focus of the position across R-12 is in curriculum development, pedagogy, assessment of student learning and reporting outcomes, and the development of teachers.

Working with the Executive Leadership Team, the successful applicant will be an innovative educator with a proven track record of motivating students and staff to achieve exceptional outcomes. The applicant will be an excellent communicator, an outstanding academic and have a proven record of strategic leadership at a senior level.

This is a full-time 5-year contract position.  This position includes a teaching load of 0.2 FTE in the successful applicant’s chosen subject area.
