Design Technology Teacher - 12 Month Contract

Queensland Academy Creative Industries Campus (QACI) is seeking a flexible and open-minded teacher with a strong desire to be a part of our team from Term 1 2022 till end of 2022. We are a selective entry independent state high school attracting a diverse range of students with shared attributes and interests. Our students exclusively study the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum in Year 11 & 12, with a Pre-IB program in Year 10.  QACI learners seek a rich and integrated academic curriculum and collaborative learning experiences. Applications are encouraged from organised and reflective teachers with excellent communication skills, although experience with the International Baccalaureate programs is not essential.

The IB Diploma Program is an internationally recognised pre-university level qualification, enabling learners to work toward achievements based on merit in a non-competitive environment.  Through the integrated IB Diploma curriculum, students can explore their potential and flourish in a culture that fosters creative and critical thinking, innovation and enterprise. Students develop university research skills and gain opportunities for real life industry experience and involvement across all industry sectors.

We are seeking a high calibre, outstanding teacher who is curious about evidence-based pedagogy to ensure inclusive and differentiated teaching practices.  The initiative to learn a cad program, facilitate safe working practices and integrate technology in the classroom are essential.  Our Professional Learning Community focuses on collaborative and innovative teaching practices in striving for continual improvement.
