Carey is currently seeking an experienced and motivated VCE Commerce Secondary Teacher specialising in Economics/Accounting and Business Management on a permanent, full-time basis to join the team. Responsible to the Leader of Learning, this Secondary Teaching position aims to engage and motivate all students throughout years 10 to 12 in the concepts of Commerce.
Candidates with prior experience teaching Economics, Accounting, Business Management and Legal Studies will be highly regarded. Applicants must be able to demonstrate excellence in their teaching, together with high level skills in the use of technology in the teaching and learning process.
The key objective of Business Studies is to introduce students to a range of financial and business skills which lay the foundation for their successful participation in society as young adults. The introduction to accounting, legal studies, business management and economics allows students to gain initial awareness of these subject areas. Subjects are offered at all Senior School levels as an elective or as part of the International Baccalaureate Diploma or the Victorian Certificate of Education.
