A position has opened up at Melbourne Montessori School as we look for an experienced teacher who can deliver IB French Ab Initio to our Year 11/12 cohort. Knowledge of the  International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and Australian Curriculum would be highly regarded.

IB French Teacher – Senior School

We are looking to appoint an experienced teacher who can deliver IB French Ab Initio to our Year 11/12 cohort at Melbourne Montessori School.  The successful candidate will work in our IB Diploma Programme with possible additional classes at Y7-10 level.  We seek someone who can deliver curriculum that caters for students with varying learning styles and who has a passion for engaging students' interest in French culture.

As an IB French teacher you will work with our passionate team of staff who guide and direct the students in small class settings and an environment that challenges them to reach their full potential in accordance with the IB and Montessori philosophies.

You are:

  • Experienced teaching French at a Year 12 level
  • Energetic with a positive demeanour
  • Focused on working as part of a team
  • A qualified Teacher, specialised in Language Acquisition, with VIT registration
  • Be familiar with the Australian National Curriculum
  • Experienced with planning, assessment and reporting
  • Able to demonstrate evidence of collaborative and effective practice in a current teaching context
