English Teacher

Position Overview

We invite applications from creative and enthusiastic Teachers of English with energy and vision, for the following part-time/full time ongoing position to commence Term 1 2019.

All applicants must be prepared to participate in the co-curricular and outdoor education programs of the College.

Personal Requirements

• be experienced in teaching Years 11 – 12 VCE English
• demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
• demonstrate the ability to create a learning environment that fosters trust and respect, encouraging all students to engage in the learning process and catering for a range of abilities and learning styles d
• emonstrate the ability to teach the subject creatively and with academic rigour
• ensure personal and professional development is ongoing and keep abreast of curriculum initiatives in English secondary education
• have current VIT Registration
• actively support the Christian teachings and ethos of the College
• Experience in teaching IB English A: Literature would be an advantage.
