Position Overview

We invite applications from innovative, enthusiastic and proficient Teachers of Geography with scholarship, influence and vision, for this ongoing position to commence Term 1 2019. Applicants would have a passionate commitment to the teaching of Geography across Years 7 to 12.

All applicants must be prepared to participate in the co-curricular and outdoor education programs of the College.

Personal Requirements

  • demonstrated passion and enthusiasm for teaching Geography.
  • demonstrated proficiency in teaching Geography across Years 7 to 12.
  • demonstrated ability to participate in learning to update knowledge and practice.
  • demonstrated outstanding classroom teaching skills and a capacity to set explicit, challenging and achievable learning goals for all students alongside planning and implementation of well-structured learning and teaching programs that engages students and promotes learning.
  • demonstrated ability to successfully contribute to collegial discussions and application of constructive feedback from colleagues to improve professional knowledge and practice.
  • demonstrated ability to contribute to professional networks and associations and build productive links with the wider community to improve teaching and learning.
  • demonstrated ability to use effective teaching strategies to integrate ICT into learning and teaching programs to make selected content relevant and meaningful.
