Applications are sought from experienced Chinese (Mandarin) Language Assistants to provide one on one and small group language support for Preparatory School languages students. 

• Temporary full-time opportunity, 12-month contract
• The King’s Preparatory School based in North Parramatta

ABOUT THE ROLE

Applications are sought from experienced Chinese (Mandarin) Language Assistants to provide one on one and small group language support for Preparatory School languages students. This will include providing support to improve proficiency in speaking, listening and in some reading and writing activities in the language native tongue. The Language Assistant will also assist the Mandarin Teacher with lesson preparation, resource creation, and in supporting students’ needs in the classroom as well as to prepare for external language events and competitions.

To be successful for this role you will possess the following essential criteria:

• Native speaker of Chinese (Mandarin)
• Experience tutoring and or teaching students in the native language as well as in English
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office suite
• Team orientation and willingness to be flexible

Note: Previous experience in education would be desirable.
