We seek to appoint a part-time (0.80 FTE) Teacher Librarian to ideally commence at our Toorak campus in Term 3, 2022. The position is both a Teacher and an Information Specialist and plays a key role within the campus by managing the physical and virtual Library utilised by students from ELC 3 to Year 6.
The Teacher Librarian is responsible for creating a stimulating educational environment and working closely with all teaching staff to plan, provide, and curate learning resources to support the Units of Inquiry being undertaken by students studying the Primary Years Programme (PYP).
The successful candidate will be passionate, digital and information literate with the ability to collaborate and work effectively within a team-teaching environment. Ideally, applicants will have knowledge and previous experience in the PYP and the philosophy of Reggio Emilia.
