Applications are invited from outstanding, experienced and enthusiastic classroom teachers for a specialist role teaching German.  This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic Language team, building the program within a rich language curriculum.  Commencing 1 January 2023 at our Wheelers Hill Campus, we offer a 12 month part-time 0.5 fixed term role.   

 
Duties 

  • Review and assess students at the beginning of each program
  • Integrate Formative Assessment Techniques
  • Provide a flexible program that caters for individual students
  • Deliver learning programs that demonstrate a research based knowledge of how students learn
  • Evaluate personal teaching and learning programs including feedback from students and assessment data to inform planning
  • Design and deliver conceptually driven, student-centered learning activities
  • Model high expectations to enable a safe and supportive classroom culture
  • Provide reports within school standards and timelines
  • Actively participate in professional development activities
  • Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours

 

Selection Criteria 

  • Teaching qualifications
  • Current VIT Registration
  • High fluency in German
  • Middle Years Programme experience highly regarded
  • VCE German experience desired
