We have a unique and extremely rewarding opportunity for an Outdoor Education teacher to coordinate our program, which is currently one of the leading Outdoor Education programs in the State.

Outdoor Education uses physical and educational challenges in natural environments to aid each student’s growth. Emphasis is placed on developing students’ social skills and building their outdoor and environmental skills and knowledge.

The Coordinator of Outdoor Education is responsible for managing all aspects of the Outdoor Education Curriculum (K to 12) at the School with the program extending to include IB, VET, TCE and National Curriculum Learning Areas. Working closely with the Head of Health and the Outdoor Education team, this role ensures that the focus of the program is on the social, emotional, physical, mental and spiritual dimensions of human development.

It is also an exciting time to be a part of The Friends' School community as we are in the process of making both major organisational and educational structural changes that will be in place from the beginning of 2024.

The role will commence on 1 January 2023 and is open for those with a teaching qualification.
