HEAD OF PHYSICAL ACTIVITY & ENGAGEMENT

  • Full time, permanent position
  • Commencing Term 4, 2022 (start date negotiable)
  • A key role that is responsible for leading the growth and evolution of a high quality, inclusive, participation rich College Physical Activity program

The College is seeking to employ a dynamic and innovative Head of Physical Activity and Engagement for this newly created position. The role of Head of Physical Activity and Engagement is responsible for leading the growth and evolution of a high quality, inclusive, participation rich College Physical Activity Program. This position is responsible for leading a visionary program for girls and leading the development of high-performance athletes across the College. Working closely with both the Sports Department and also relevant academic areas, this position plays a key role in integrating classroom learning, co-curricular participation and physical activity.

This position is responsible for:

 

  • Increasing the number of students participating in physical activity
  • Improving skills and techniques of younger students
  • Creating a culture of physical health and wellness which is adopted by studnets whilst at school and which becomes lifelong
  • Commencing data collection with research initiatives at the core, focused on the relationship between physical metrics related to females and academic performance
