Teacher of Hard Materials or Building & Construction Technology

Glendowie College is a collaborative and innovative community of teachers and learners. We have high academic expectations of our students, while also supporting them to develop as confident, articulate, resilient and globally-aware young people. 

We have an opportunity for a permanent, full-time Hard Materials teacher to join our well-resourced Technology Faculty, starting 28 January 2023 or earlier in Term 4, 2022 if possible.

In Years 9 and 10, we offer students an engaging and diverse IB MYP Design programme, followed by our own exciting Year 11 programme which is designed to prepare students for NCEA Levels 2 and 3, and Scholarship. 

An ideal candidate will:

• be collaborative and collegial
• build positive relationships with students and colleagues
• have experience teaching NCEA Technology achievement standards and/or BCITO unit standards
• motivated to engage in and implement professional learning towards the IB MYP and our own Year 11 programme
