Science: Biology Teacher

Thorndon · Wellington

This permanent full-time position will start Term 1 2023.

Queen Margaret College is Wellington's leading independent school for girls. We are an International Baccalaureate World School offering the PYP, MYP, and Diploma Programme as well as the NCEA.

The College is a modern, vibrant, forward-focused school with a heritage of over 100 years. Our school's founders believed the school's purpose was to provide the best education possible. Their vision is as powerful today as it was in 1919 when the Science Laboratory was a bench in the centre of the Conservatory with a single sink and tap.

We are seeking an inspired and passionate Biology Teacher, ready to be part of a school where high expectations, risk-taking, and collaboration are the norm. Our science department is future-focused, and we work hard to understand and act on the impact we are having on our learners.

The successful candidate will be a dedicated teacher of Year 7 to 13 Biology and Science, preferably with experience in both NCEA and International Baccalaureate (IB), and also Junior Science. Environmental Systems and Societies as an additional subject would be an advantage.

You will have New Zealand teacher registration or be working towards it.

We are eager for the right person to join the team. Applications close Thursday 6 October.
