Canberra Girls Grammar School is looking for a dedicated and professional individual to provide support to the Chief Operating Officer.

Who we are
Canberra Girls Grammar School (CGGS) is an independent non-selective Anglican school with an enrolment of approximately 1,300 students. The School has a strong reputation as a leader in the education of girls. 

CGGS is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School and the only continuum school in the ACT offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the Diploma Programme (DP).

The Role
We are seeking applications for this ongoing role to commence in 2023. This is a full-time position and flexibility with work hours will be required.

As the Executive Officer/Assistant to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) you will support the COO to deliver strategic and operational activities and as secretariat to the Board and its committees.  As the Executive Officer/Assistant, you will foster relationships across the School community with both internal and external stakeholders while maintaining workflows in a fast paced, agile environment.

Providing executive administrative support and project work, including planning and preparing papers, reports and communication on behalf of the COO, the role will require excellent organisational skills and the ability to perform in a deadline driven environment.  Your ability to exercise critical judgement combined with attention to detail will underpin your effectiveness in the collation of data and information, particularly to develop briefings and communications.

It will be an advantage if you can demonstrate

  • Experience in a similar role including working in a secretariat function
  • Experience working in a sensitive, confidential environment
  • A calm and courteous manner with a strong customer service focus

As part of a vibrant and dynamic administrative team, the role will also need to exhibit excellent communication skills and be a team player.  The role will require flexibility in regards to availability and work pattern.  This may mean availability at short notice to assist the COO outside of core hours.
