Santa Sabina College is seeking experienced and passionate professionals to join our highly regarded and expanded Instrumental Music Program. Instrumental tutors are needed for a variety of instruments including Orchestral Percussion, Flute, Clarinet, Violin, Viola and Cello in a casual employment capacity.
The successful candidate will:
- support the Catholic Dominican Mission of the College and promote the prayer life of the College
- have the ability to thrive in a variety of settings, including individual, group and ensemble tuition and as a performer in array of ensembles
- work in collaboration with all music staff at the College to drive hugh musical standards and engagement
- be able to teach students of various levels of skills and abilities, from the beginner to HSC/IBDP
- use a variety of pedagogical approaches with students
- be a role model for alls aspects of learning and performing on an instrument
- have confidence in age appropriate behaviour management
Essential Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications (or near completion) in Music and/or Music Education
- experience in private instrumental and group tuition
- practical experience of performing on an instrument listed at a very high level
- a current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
