Pembroke School is a co-educational, non-denominational, day and boarding School from Early Learning Centre to Year 12. Pembroke School offers the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) and is also an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, offering the IB Diploma and the Primary Years Programme (PYP).

Focus is placed on enjoyment of new experiences, exploration of artistic processes and development of specific skills, with emphasis on both broad participation and a high degree of artistic excellence.

The Department

Our highly successful Film program has grown exponentially over the last few years. Students can study Film across both Middle and Senior School campuses. Our annual Unreel Film Festival provides students with the opportunity to showcase their achievements and share their work with the broader Pembroke community. Attendance at professional film productions and opportunities to work with industry professionals are highlights of the programme.

Our Film program challenges students to develop their awareness of fundamental concepts through an exploration of historical and contemporary filmmakers within a global context. We are seeking an educator who can motivate and enthuse students to apply their theoretical understanding and use industry standard equipment to create film products for various purposes and genres. Technical expertise and the ability to use film equipment and editing software is advantageous.

The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and engaging teacher of Film within the Creative Arts. The successful applicant will have a passion for teaching Film with knowledge of the SACE Creative Arts syllabus and will relate well to students, parents and staff. Pembroke offers film as a subject in Years 10 to 12 so the successful candidate will be suitably qualified to teach these year levels.
