Science Teacher

Kelvin Grove · Queensland

Queensland Academy Creative Industries Campus (QACI) is seeking a highly-motivated and dedicated Science Teacher to work in collaboration with our team from Term 1 2023. Applicants with an interdisciplinary approach to teaching and learning in the sciences would be advantageous. We are a selective entry state high school attracting a diverse range of students with shared attributes and interests. Our students exclusively study the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum in Year 11 & 12, with a future focused program in Year 10. QACI learners seek a rich and integrated academic curriculum and collaborative learning experiences. Applications are encouraged from passionate teachers, although experience with the International Baccalaureate programs is not essential.

QACI is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School and is proud to uphold the values of an IB education. The IB Diploma Program is an internationally recognised pre-university level qualification, enabling learners to work toward achievements based on merit in a non-competitive environment. Through the integrated IB Diploma curriculum, students can explore their potential and flourish in a culture that fosters creative and critical thinking, innovation and enterprise. Students develop university research skills and gain opportunities for real life industry experience and involvement across all industry sectors.

We are seeking a high calibre, outstanding teacher with an interest in evidence-based pedagogy to ensure inclusive and differentiated teaching practices. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with an experienced team striving for continual improvement to achieve high performance outcomes. Applications are encouraged from teachers with exceptional relational skills who display warmth, energy, integrity and passion to inspire our students and engage with our community.
