The Role

We are seeking an innovative and enthusiastic educator of Digital Technology for a replacement contract for Terms 3 and 4, 2023. They will deliver engaging and rigorous lessons, immerse students in the subject, promote deep understanding and connection and encourage students to develop a passion in their subject.

The Successful Applicant

The successful applicant must be an engaging practitioner who models exceptional practice, prides themselves on being an effective communicator and building strong relationships with their students. They must also enjoy collaborating and working as part of a dedicated, supportive and highly motivated team.

The successful applicant will have a sound understanding of the principles of teaching and learning, possess a passion for learning and have the ability to inspire this in students. They will possess knowledge and experience in the delivery of ACARA Middle Years (7-10) across our Middle and Senior Schools. Experienced and early career teachers are encouraged to apply.

Desirable attributes:

  • Passion for development of innovative digital technologies curriculum.
  • Knowledge and experience with VEX Robotics.
  • Knowledge and experience teaching creative Digital Technologies using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch-up and GameMaker.
  • Commitment to applying design thinking and Project Based Learning to facilitate student-centred learning.

The Technology Department is enjoying the new state of the art Technology, Science and Visual Art building, offering opportunities for collaborative projects at the Middle School.
