Pembroke School is a co-educational, non-denominational, day and boarding School from Early Learning Centre to Year 12. Pembroke School offers the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) and is also an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, offering the IB Diploma and the Primary Years Programme (PYP).
We are seeking an enthusiastic, innovative and experienced Junior School music teacher to join our vibrant Arts team. The successful applicant will be a suitably qualified and registered teacher and an excellent practitioner who has a thorough knowledge of Junior School music curriculum.
Applicants should be competent instrumentalists/vocalists who enjoy working collaboratively and prepared to contribute actively to the Pembroke co-curricular programme. Skills in conducting bands or choirs are desirable.
The Junior School programme offers students the opportunity to be challenged, supported, creative and critical. Our engaging curriculum is broad and includes the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) for ELC-Year 6. This curriculum framework focuses on learning through inquiry; fostering critical thinking, values and attitudes; and developing international understanding.
An understanding of the Primary Years Programme (IB) is desirable for this position.
