Head of Music, Permanent Full-time Leadership Position, Commencing January 2020

Pembroke School is a co-educational, non-denominational, day and boarding School from Early Learning Centre to Year 12. Pembroke School offers the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) and is also an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, offering the IB Diploma and the Primary Years Programme (PYP).

We are seeking a dynamic, passionate and engaging teacher and leader to fill the position as Head of Music. The Head of Music has the responsibility of overseeing the teaching of Music in the School from ELC to year 12. The Head will be able to enthuse and motivate colleagues and students to ensure that Music has a high profile within the School and a good reputation elsewhere. Applicants should be talented musicians who enjoy working collaboratively and are prepared to manage and contribute actively to the Pembroke co-curricular programme. Excellent skills in conducting bands and ensembles are required.

At Pembroke, Music students have the opportunity to participate in a range of ensembles with a wide variety of orchestral, choral, band and Rock School concerts including the Annual Showcase Concert, celebrating student musical achievement. Special events enabling collaboration with distinguished professional artists enliven the music program. Students have the opportunity to participate in local and international tours and community events and workshops.
