Pembroke School is a co-educational, non-denominational, day and boarding School from Early Learning Centre to Year 12. Pembroke School offers the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) and is also an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, offering the IB Diploma and the Primary Years Programme (PYP).

Applications are invited from enthusiastic, suitably qualified and registered teachers prepared to work in our Hearing Unit. The successful applicant will be based in the Junior School, though may be required to work with students with hearing impairment or other additional learning needs in the Middle and Senior Schools.

Hearing Unit

Since 1976 Pembroke School has been committed to providing specialist education for students with hearing impairment from Early Learning Centre to Year 12 using an auditory verbal approach. The Hearing Unit provides service through in-class support and withdrawal lessons to further develop listening and spoken language skills, cognition and psycho-social skills.  

Teachers in the Hearing Unit and in Learning Support work collaboratively within a team, with class teachers, and other specialists and agencies to ensure students can access the curriculum and attain learning outcomes.
