International School of Western Australia is an independent, non-denominational, co-educational, small, independent school for local and International students from Kindergarten to Year 12, running on a northern hemisphere calendar.Relocating to a new campus in Doubleview in July 2020, the school embraces international mindedness, with students and families from approximately 40 nationalities forming the school community.

Inclusive Education Teacher

The School is seeking an Inclusive Education Teacher (K-12) for a one-year, fulltime fixed term contract, covering parental leave, commencing in the School’s Term 1 (July 2020). Applicants should be suitably qualified with relevant tertiary qualifications.

We are looking for a staff member who possesses:

  • Experience in supporting students with development of language and numeracy skills
  • Experience in developing and implementing inclusive education programmes for students with additional needs (support and gifted students)
  • Experience scheduling, coordinating and administering whole-school assessments to monitor student growth
  • Experience in the analyse of NAPLAN and other standardised assessment data
  • A strong desire and proven ability to work in teams in and out of the classroom
  • An outstanding record in building relationships and community with students, parents, and staff
  • A passion for and commitment to international education
  • Eligibility for registration with the Teachers Registration Board of Western Australia

Experience working in international schools and/or working within the International Baccalaureate’s, programme would be highly desirable, but not essential.

The commencement date is 16 July 2020 (Semester 1 for International School of Western Australia).
