About the Role

Ravenswood is currently inviting applicants who are suitably qualified and experienced, to apply for the position of Deputy Principal: Teaching and Learning.  Reporting to the Principal and as a key member of the School Leadership Team, this role will be responsible for optimising student learning experiences and supporting teaching so as to help students fulfil their potential, and excel. This is a K-12 role with syllabus oversight for both the HSC and IB. As Deputy Principal: Teaching and Learning, this position will also provide support to the Principal in a variety of areas including school operational matters.

 

Selection Criteria

To secure this position, you will be an outstanding educator with a proven track record of leadership and achievement in teaching and learning. You will be a credible academic leader who is able to lead the implementation of strategies to ensure engaging and enriching differentiated learning experiences for all. You will have a deep understanding and experience in leading academic programs and be responsible for overseeing the delivery of a challenging and flexible curriculum that is supported by creative and responsive teaching and effective learning environments.

You will be a natural leader of people with the energy and capacity to inspire students, staff, parents and the wider community with demonstrated capacity and experience in both staff and student leadership. This role will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and Department Coordinators and you will be expected to model the highest standard of professional practice.

 

Qualifications

  • NESA Teacher Accreditation
  • A minimum of 8 years’ leadership experience is desirable
  • Tertiary qualifications in education management is desirable

  • Highly organised, a meticulous planner with detail and process management skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in decision making.
  • Computer literacy with the full suite of Microsoft Office.
