Outdoor Education Teacher

Scotch College has the opportunity for an enthusiastic and energetic Outdoor Education Teacher to join our College in Term 1, 2019. The principal requirement of this position is to deliver the Outdoor Education program at Moray, the Scotch College outdoor education centre, inspiring students and promoting personal achievement.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Suitably qualified and experienced in delivering Outdoor Education
  • A person of character who is dedicated and passionate about Outdoor Education
  • Trained in an Aquatic Rescue qualification eg: Bronze Medallion
  • Trained in Wilderness First Aid or Senior First Aid
  • An exceptional communicator with the ability to work well in a team
  • Able to build strong relationships with students, staff, parents and members of the broader College community

 Desirable qualifications include:

  • Australian Canoe Qualifications in Canoe and/or Kayak or equivalent
  • NORLS Roping registered or qualification equivalent

The successful candidate will be required to provide evidence of current registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA) and a Working With Children Check (WWCC).
