Alamanda College opened in 2013 and currently supports 2400 PYP and MYP learners Prep to Year 9. The College operates in mini or sub schools. It has a strong emphasis on 21st century learning.

Technology is central to the curriculum delivery across this very large school.

Classrooms are grouped in learning communities with shared learning spaces. The modern design requires strong educational leadership support, knowledge and the ability to demonstrate pedagogical practices suited to these learning spaces. An emphasis will be placed on teachers and children working in home groups and breaking out into small focus groups within each community setting. Modelling, coaching and leading curriculum design will be central to the role of the Assistant Principal.

The Assistant Principal is critical to curriculum development and implementation and will play a lead role coaching staff to develop personalised and tailored programmes focused on individual student achievements.
