German Teacher – Primary

Good Shepherd Lutheran College is a co-educational, non-government school for ELC to Year 12 students, with three campuses across Darwin: Howard Springs, Palmerston and Leanyer.   

Applications are sought for a suitably qualified and experienced German Teacher to join the Primary teaching team at Howard Springs in 2025.

Primary Teachers provide an atmosphere for students to fulfil their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, spiritual and psychological growth. The German Teacher is responsible for organising and implementing a German instructional program that will engage and encourage students to attain competency in the German language.

Good Shepherd Lutheran College educates students through the Primary Years Programme of the International Baccalaureate (IBPYP), with an emphasis on inquiry through interdisciplinary learning. Through the programme, students are encouraged to be active learners who through international mindedness are able to empathise with others and pursue a life of purpose and meaning. 

The ideal candidate should have experience and a passion for teaching the German language in the primary years, along with demonstrated fluency in German and the ability to plan and implement effective teaching and learning.
