Where you are teaching students who are genuinely excited to learn. Sound appealing? We are one of New Zealand’s leading independent girls’ schools, with an outstanding reputation for our approach to curriculum design and learning. We welcome day students and boarders from preschool, right through to Year 13. Our academic record stands for itself, but Dio stands for so much more. We believe that education is an adventure involving creativity, imagination and discovery.

At Diocesan School for Girls, we are dedicated to nurturing young women who are curious, courageous, and empowered to shape their futures.

In this role, you will be:

  • Delivering engaging, developmentally-appropriate music education to students in Years 0–6
  • Coordinating performing arts events, productions and music opportunities
  • Embedding the PYP philosophy into your teaching practice, fostering inquiry, creativity, and collaboration
  • Working closely with the leadership and specialist teams to enhance the performing arts curriculum
  • Supporting individual student growth in music and the arts, including choirs, instrumental groups, and co-curricular activities

You are a passionate educator with:

  • A recognised teaching qualification and current New Zealand teaching registration
  • Expertise in primary school music education
  • Ability to lead choirs and/or experience coordinating these
  • Outstanding organisational skills and the ability to lead and inspire others
  • A collaborative, future-focused mindset and a commitment to holistic education

Why work with us?
