An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Humanities Teacher to join our College community on a full time, fixed term basis for Term 1 2026.

About the Role 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Humanities Teacher to join our College community on a full time, fixed term basis.

This role is a leave replacement position for Term 1, 2026.

Reporting to the Head of Learning – Humanities, the role will be responsible for teaching Humanities subjects, including Classical Studies and Modern History, in a collaborative and progressive environment.

To be successful in this opportunity, you will require: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Education.
  • Current VIT Registration.
  • A current knowledge of the Australian Curriculum (Humanities)
  • Previous experience teaching Classical Studies and/or Modern History (preferred).
  • Knowledge of contemporary pedagogy and innovative use of ICT in the classroom to enrich learning.
  • Well-developed classroom management strategies that enhance student engagement and outcomes.
  • Be an active contributor to a collegial work environment.
  • Willingness to uphold the ethos and values of the College.
