About Us
Somerville House is a day and boarding school for girls established in 1899, providing exceptional education for students from Prep through to Year 12, with a co-educational Pre-Prep offering. Following the successful implementation of the Primary Years Programme (PYP), we are now looking for a passionate, experienced and dynamic Teacher – Junior School to join us on a fixed-term contract.
This fixed-term position is effective from 1 January 2026 continuing until 31 December 2026, with the staff professional learning days and attendance required from 20 January 2026.

It is a mandatory requirement to hold the appropriate tertiary qualifications and current Queensland Teacher Registration (QCT).

Employment Classification
The salary and conditions of employment for Academic staff are in accordance with the Presbyterian and Methodist Schools Association (PMSA) Enterprise Agreement 2025, as varied or replaced from time-to-time.
