Junior School Library Assistant

We’re looking for a dedicated Library Assistant to support literacy and learning in our Junior School. The ideal candidate will help create an engaging library environment and foster a love of reading among students.

St Paul’s Grammar School is a co-educational, non-denominational Christian Grammar school located in Sydney’s Greater West. An International Baccalaureate World School, located on expansive grounds across a 70-acre campus, St Paul’s students benefit from excellent facilities set amidst cultivated native gardens and bushland.

Position Summary:

The Library Assistant supports the Junior School Teacher Librarian in the effective operation of the Junior School Inquiry Centre, ensuring it remains a dynamic and engaging learning environment. This role also provides responsive and proactive support to both staff and students, fostering a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and lifelong learning.

  • Term Time Only
  • Commencing January 2026

The successful applicant will have: 

  • Demonstrated high-level oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work as a constructive and creative member of a team with a professional, courteous manner.
  • Intermediate-level skills using computer-based applications, which include MS Office Suite (Edge, Chrome, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel) and Library Management Systems (Oliver/Softlink).
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC
  • Membership of a local Christian church or community
