Primary Years Teacher

Tara Anglican School for Girls is a leading independent school with a proud tradition of excellence in girls’ education. Tara offers the Primary Years Programme (PYP), fostering inquiry-based learning and the development of the whole child.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Primary Years Teacher to join our dynamic Junior School team. The successful candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality, engaging, and inclusive learning experiences that align with the PYP framework and the School’s Christian values.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and assess learning programs in line with the IB PYP and NSW curriculum.
• Foster a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that supports student agency and inquiry.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and interdisciplinary learning.
• Engage positively with students, parents, and the wider school community.
• Contribute to the co-curricular and pastoral life of the School.

Essential Criteria

• Teaching qualifications recognised in NSW and current NESA accreditation.
• A commitment to girls’ education and the Christian ethos of the School.
• Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• A collaborative and reflective approach to teaching and professional growth.

Desirable

• IB PYP training or experience in an IB World School.
• Experience with inquiry-based and concept-driven learning.
