Salary: $86,700 + Superannuation

MLC School is seeking a collaborative and skilled IT Service Engineer to join our vibrant learning community on a permanent basis. This is an opportunity to provide technical advice and end-user support to staff and students through the Service Desk. This role covers phone and in-person support, documentation, audio-visual assistance, and proactive maintenance of technology systems across the school.

About the Role

As a member of the IT Service Desk, you will:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all users requiring technology assistance.
  •  Accurately log and process all Service Desk requests and provide timely resolutions.
  • Undertake root-cause analysis and document outcomes for recurring issues.
  • Configure and deploy laptops/desktops for staff and students.
  • Provide in-person AV support for internal and external school events.
  • Participate in testing IT governance controls (e.g. Disaster Recovery measures).
  • Identify variations and potential high-risk areas in securing adherence to standards and procedures
  • Recommend corrective action plans and improvements in the resolution of non-compliance with standards detected through monitoring and auditing of processes and procedures.

 

About You
You are a proactive, collaborative and detail-oriented professional with:

  • Tertiary qualifications in IT or working towards an industry-based IT certification.
  •  A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in an IT support or service desk environment.
  • A strong understanding of Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive), and experience managing apple devices (macOS, iOS, iPadOS).
  • Administration of MS Service (2012-2022), Windows 10/11, Ubuntu Linux, and macOS.
  • Experience with Mobile Device Management systems (Intune, JAMF).
  • A current Working with Children’s Check.
