Australian students top the world
February 13, 2011Over two thousand Australasian International Diploma Programme students received their results in early January and have achieved above world pass-rates and average scores. This is no doubt a result of the quality learning environments that exist in our IB World Schools, the hard work and ability of the DP students and the best practice pedagogy and commitment of their teachers.
This year there were approximately thirty students in Australasia with 45 point Diplomas. More importantly, even with IBDP numbers increasing each year, the pass rate remains in the mid 90’s and the average score remains in the mid 30’s. An additional 600 Diploma Candidates are expected in November 2011, reflecting the growth of the programme in this part of the world.
