The opportunity

Radford College offers a dedicated school bus service to provide transportation assistance to families and students. The service operates on a fixed route five days a week in the morning and afternoon. This role’s core hours are from Monday to Friday 7:00 am – 9:00 am and 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The hours available are subject to the scheduling requirements and will change as required.

About the role

The successful applicant will take responsibility for the safe operation of the Radford College Dedicated Bus Services. The position will suit a candidate who enjoys working with children and interacting with parents and Radford staff.  The driver will collect students from three set school bus stops in the morning and drop students off to the same stops in the afternoon.

About you

We are looking for confident self-starters who enjoy building relationships with students, parents, and staff, building trust and confidence through their engagement with others.  Possessing excellent communications skills, you will have a strong customer service focus, and can be relied upon to work autonomously.  The split shift is convenient for candidates who value free time for their own pursuits throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Current Medium Rigid Drivers’ License or equivalent
• Current Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) card
• First Aid Training
• Current knowledge of WHS Practices
