Mathematics & Statistics Teacher – 2026 start or earlier by negotiation

Rangitoto College is seeking enthusiastic, warm and demanding teachers to join our highly successful and collegial Mathematics and Statistics department commencing in 2026, to support continued roll growth. We will consider candidates who wish to start earlier; please provide your preferred starting date in your cover letter.

You should be able to teach up to Y13 and should state your speciality (Statistics or Calculus) in your cover letter. Our ideal candidate will have experience teaching NCEA Calculus or NCEA Statistics to Level 3 and/or IB Analysis and Approaches or IB Applications and Interpretation to Higher Level.

Teachers at the college are expected to contribute to the co-curricular life of the College.

Contract and remuneration will be in accordance with the Secondary Teachers’ Collective Agreement (STCA) https://www.education.govt.nz/school/people-and-employment/employment-agreements/collective-agreements/secondary-teachers-collective-agreement as assessed by the Salary Assessment Unit of the Ministry of Education. Annual remuneration is dependent on service and qualifications, starting rate of $61,329 and top rate of $103,086. Hours of work will be as set out in the STCA.
