The position
CGGS is seeking a highly driven technical specialist to join its ICT team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the School’s ICT infrastructure. Your hands-on approach will include providing Level 2/3 support to staff and students, administering Microsoft 365 services, maintaining and improving the School’s enterprise network, strengthening security practices, and collaborating with other ICT technical staff. You will also ensure that systems and related procedures align with the School’s values, supporting staff, students, and the broader school community. Duties include:
- Level 2/3 Support – Provide Level 2/3 IT support, respond to incidents, and resolve issues escalated by the service desk team in a timely manner.
- Networks – Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues whilst assisting in planning and implementation of network projects to ensure reliable and secure connectivity.
- Cyber Security – Ensure strong security practices and efficiencies using cyber security frameworks.
- Server and Endpoint Management – Maintain critical systems, perform server installations, and manage patching and updates for endpoints and servers.
- Backup and Disaster recovery – Assist with backup monitoring and management of backup solutions, ensuring data integrity, availability and timely recovery in case of system failures or data loss.
- Unified Communications – Assist with the management of IP-based phone systems and video conferencing systems.
- Documentation – Maintain ICT technical documentation and support hardware/software asset management.
