Senior School Science Teacher

Cranbrook School is seeking an outstanding Science Teacher to join our dynamic Senior School teaching team.

ABOUT THE POSITION

This is a full-time position based at the Senior School campus in Bellevue Hill.

SELECTION CRITERIA

• NESA accreditation to teach in New South Wales (required)
• Demonstrated skills in teaching Science to secondary students
• Sound knowledge and understanding of the NSW Curriculum and current teaching and learning theory and practice
• Capacity to create a motivating and engaging learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of all learners through varied teaching strategies and pedagogical practices to maximise learning
• Experience with a range of online platforms, including Learning Management Systems, to support learning and provide feedback
• Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction and cater to diverse learning needs
• Creative mindset and ability to design interactive and dynamic lessons
• Organisational skills to manage schedules, events and student records
• A level of mobility that supports the ability to respond to a first aid / behavioural incident
• Current First Aid and CPR qualifications
• A firm commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• A demonstrated understanding of child safety and appropriate behaviours when engaging with children.

Ability to teach the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme would be advantageous, as would the ability to teach Biology.
