Applications are warmly invited for the position of Head of International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) at Pembroke School.
Commencing January 2026, this is an exciting opportunity for an innovative and visionary thinker to contribute strongly to the leadership, development and management of innovative curriculum, pedagogy and education policy, both within the IB Diploma Programme and within Pembroke in general.

Pembroke School is a co-educational, non-denominational day and boarding school in Adelaide offering outstanding education from Early Learning through to Year 12. Established in 1974 through the amalgamation of Girton Girls’ School and King’s College, Pembroke continues to forge a legacy of quality, inclusive education. The school provides both the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), equipping students with a globally relevant education. Your role
Pembroke has established itself as one of the leading IB schools nationally, consistently achieving outstanding results. In 2024, the school celebrated exceptional outcomes, with two students attaining the perfect IB score of 45 out of 45,and over a quarter of the cohort scoring 40 or above. These achievements underscore Pembroke’s commitment to academic excellence within an IB framework.
As the Head of IBDP, you will play a critical role in leading the academic, pastoral, and operational components of the programme. You will be an experienced, dynamic leader and skilled educator, capable of inspiring students and staff alike, and committed to educational excellence and innovation.
This senior leadership role requires outstanding organisational abilities, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for international-mindedness and holistic student development.

Who We’re Looking For:
The successful applicant will:
• Lead, manage, and promote the IB Diploma Programme across the School
• Provide strategic direction and ensure IB compliance, innovation, and best practice
• Collaborate with key academic and wellbeing staff to support students’ success
• Oversee staff professional development, curriculum planning, and student assessment
• Represent Pembroke in local, national, and international IB networks

• Be registered (or be eligible for registration) as a teacher in South Australia.
We expect the successful applicant will be a champion of the IB Diploma Programme, with a track record of development and management of innovative curriculum, pedagogy and education policy.
