Radford College seeks to appoint an outstanding Director of Senior School (Years 11-12) to join our thriving school community, that has remained at the forefront of co-education since its establishment in 1984. Reporting directly to the Deputy Principal and a key member of the Secondary School Leadership team, the Director of Senior School (Years 11-12) will be an accomplished leader, with an ability to engage wholeheartedly and authentically with our community. The Director of Senior School is instrumental in the delivery of the College’s vision and purpose.
The Director of Senior School leads the Year Coordinators across pastoral, operational and co-curricular areas to shape and sustain a vibrant and nurturing Senior School culture for students in Years 11-12.
About the role
This is a significant leadership opportunity and key responsibilities include excellence in pastoral and operational leadership, with a strong understanding of character education, student well-being, behaviour management, and restorative practices.
The Director of Senior School (Years 11-12) will play a crucial role in upholding and enhancing Radford College’s reputation for academic excellence. This involves strategic oversight of the academic programs for Years 11-12, ensuring rigorous and engaging learning experiences that challenge and support our senior learners. A core responsibility will be to successfully guide students through the BSSS (Board of Senior Secondary Studies) process, empowering them to achieve their personal best in their final years.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing strategic and operational leadership for the Senior School (Years 11-12).
- Overseeing the successful implementation of the BSSS curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Working closely with students, parents, and staff to ensure optimal academic outcomes and personal growth.
- Leading and developing the Senior School pastoral care team, fostering a culture of well-being, flourishing and support.
- Promoting and integrating the College’s values and ethos throughout the Senior School.
- Contributing to the College’s strategic planning and overall leadership.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience Required
- Bachelor of Education
- A degree at master’s level is desirable
- Working with Vulnerable People clearance
- Work rights in Australia
