Te Tūranga Ngā haepapa | The role & Responsibilities
We’re looking for a dynamic and visionary leader to champion neurodiversity and inclusive practices across our college. This is a strategic role with real influence—shaping policy, driving professional development, and embedding inclusive values into the heart of our school culture.
You’ll work closely with Heads of Learning Areas and specialist teachers (ESOL, GATE) to create a seamless, supportive learning environment. Your leadership will empower kaiako to meet the diverse needs of their learners, while your advocacy ensures student voice and whānau partnerships are central to everything we do.
From conducting diagnostic assessments and tracking progress, to designing personalised learning plans and overseeing Special Assessment Conditions, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring every student has the opportunity to thrive. Whether supporting learners one-on-one or guiding transitions into tertiary pathways, your impact will be felt across the college.

He kōrero mōu | About you
Candidates should have:
- A deep understanding of neurodiversity
- A strong working knowledge of Year 7 – 10 programmes
- Understanding of NCEA framework, including co-requisite literacy and numeracy requirements
- Broad curriculum knowledge to be able to work closely with senior students across a range of subjects
- Strong working relationships with kaiako
