An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and passionate leader to join St Leonard’s College from 2026 in the role of International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) Coordinator. Reporting to the Head of Senior School and the Director of Academic Development, the IBDP Coordinator, will join our Senior School Leadership team, in driving the educational excellence of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme across the College.
Working collaboratively with other key staff, the IBDP Coordinator will provide dynamic and progressive leadership in the development, implementation and delivery of the IB programme. Excellent pedagogical and IB knowledge and experience are essential, as well as strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
This pivotal leadership position offers a unique opportunity to shape the development of our students, ensuring each child is inspired to reach their potential in their academic journey, in a progressive environment.
This is a permanent, full-time teaching position, with the IBDP Coordinator role offered with a 3-year tenure, as a position of responsibility. The IBDP Coordinator role includes a time allowance of FTE 0.4 (10 periods per cycle) and a monetary allowance, and an appropriate teaching subject allocation (including teaching Theory of Knowledge) will be negotiated with the successful candidate.

To be successful in this opportunity you will require:
- Relevant teaching qualifications and registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
- Demonstrated outstanding classroom teaching skills across years 7 – 12
- Experience of teaching in the IB Diploma Programme including teaching Theory of Knowledge
- Contemporary knowledge of the IB Core Components particularly the Extended Essay
- Knowledge of contemporary pedagogy and innovative use of ICT in the classroom to enrich learning
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Experience in planning programs and the management of budgets and resources
- Ability to lead a team and actively support and develop team members
- Well-developed planning, organisational and administrative skills
- Personal resilience and demonstrates a solutions-oriented approach to problem solving
- Be an active contributor to a collegial work environment
- Willingness to uphold the ethos and values of the College
