Assistant Head of Department – Mathematics
Ravenswood is seeking an experienced Mathematics teacher and an experienced or aspiring leader to join our Team as the Assistant Head of Department, commencing in 2026

We are seeking an experienced Mathematics teacher and an experienced or aspiring leader to join the faculty as the Assistant Head of Department, commencing Term 1, 2026. As the Assistant Head of Department, you will be responsible for supporting the Head of Department in the continuous improvement and delivery of the Mathematics curriculum across Years 7 -12, including the Higher School Certificate (HSC) and International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme.

The successful applicant will be an excellent and engaging classroom practitioner, who demonstrates creativity and rigour in the delivery of curriculum and enjoys working in a committed and professional team.
To be successful in securing this position you will have demonstrated teaching ability in Mathematics encompassing:
- experience teaching Year 7-12 Mathematics
- experience or a strong interest in developing as an educational leader
- experience teaching the International Baccalaureate (desirable)
- the ability to successfully integrate ICT into the classroom
- the ability to differentiate in the delivery of curriculum
- a flexible and collegial approach to working within a team
