ABOUT THE ROLE
Applications are sought from experienced teachers to lead the Senior School’s dynamic Mathematics Department. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a team that empowers the learning experience of both students and educators, across both the NSW Curriculum and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme.
The King’s School introduced the IB Diploma Programme in 2025, offering Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches (AA) and Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation (AI). The successful applicant will have the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of the IB Mathematics curriculum as part of a dual pathway offering.
Please note, this is a permanent full-time opportunity commencing in Term 1 2026 at The King’s School in North Parramatta.

To be successful for this role you will need to be able to demonstrate how you meet the following:
• Inspire excellence in teaching and learning by fostering intellectual inquiry and demonstrating innovative pedagogy
• Comprehensive knowledge of the NSW Curriculum and its recent developments, with the ability to integrate and adapt for the IB Diploma Programme where applicable
• Positive and enthusiastic attitude to learning
• High standard of competency, proficiency and innovation as a classroom teacher
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with peers, students and other internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to contribute to the School community through involvement in Co-curricular activities
• Demonstrated experience in teaching all levels of NESA courses, up to and including Extension 1 Mathematics, with experience in IB Diploma Mathematics AA and/or AI courses highly regarded
• Previous leadership experience with a demonstrated record of successfully leading a team
• Personable and outgoing with a flair for effective communication at all levels
• A team player with strong organisation skills
Experience in teaching within IB World Schools or teaching and/or marking IB Diploma Programme courses will be regarded as a distinct advantage.
